Grateful to Irish Independent for seeking our views on the Meath market, spanning 7 locations in the county. Find all the details in the recent supplement in the Irish Independent – ‘How Much is Your Home Worth”
Homes in Meath either cost the same as they did a year ago, less, or have risen slightly in value depending on type and location.
The overall result has been an increase of just 1pc across the board. Local agent Paul Grimes reports that homes which present excellently with BERs of B3 or better attract more buyer interest so the value differences between similar homes of high and low BER ratings can be substantial.
An older three-bed semi in need of modernisation in Ashbourne will probably achieve a price of €300,000 versus a newer A-rated home in the same area that will sell for €475,000.
